We love to cook with honey and we encourage our customers to experiment with different recipes. If you have a recipe that you've tried that you could recommend, please send it to us and we'll put it up on our page.

Honey Mustard Dill Salad Dressing

    1/4 c. Cider Vinegar

    1/8 c. Water

    2/3 c. Oil

    1/8 c. Honey

    1-2 TBSP Mustard

    1 TBSP Dill (Dry or Fresh)

    Adjust for your taste.

Whole Wheat Super Duper Pancakes

    This is a recipe we've used for years after discovering it in the Tassajara Bread Book.

    2 c. whole wheat flour

    3 t. baking poweder

    1 t salt

    1 T honey

    3 eggs, separated

    2 c. milk

    1/2 c. oil

    Combine the dry ingredients. Combine the wet ingredients, including the honey. Beat the egg whites until stiff and then combine all in a large mixing bowl. Be careful not to overmix, just combine lightly. Enjoy!

     

Basswood Ale

Makes a 5 Gallon Batch

    3lb wheat dry malt extract

    3lb light dry malt extract

    1.5lb Basswood Honey

    1oz Columbus hop pellets at start of boil

    .5oz Cascade hops at 45 minutes into the boil

    .5oz Cascade hops at last 2 minutes of boil

    TOTAL BOIL TIME = 60minutes

    Cool the wort to70 degrees as soon as  possible

    Pitch California Ale liquid yeast and shake it up!

    Put airlock on fermenter and wait.... (my primary  fermentation took 3 weeks!)

    Transfer to secondary fermenter and wait another week.

    Bottle with Priming sugar and wait 14 days (minimum) before sample.

    Unknown Starting Gravity

    Unknown Ending Gravity.
